Why choose a stainless steel water bottle?

A water bottle made from durable stainless steel is a lot tougher than one made of glass. It's far less likely to break if you drop it, especially if you carry a drink bottle around everyday for a full days hydration needs. Your bottle made from stainless steel will be long lasting compared to a flimsy plastic one that will break down over time and get scratched and make the water taste funny.

Stainless steel won't retain flavour, so if you can stay hydrated with water and swap to iced tea or fruit juice and back to water and you won't retain the taste of your last drink.

If your stainless steel drink bottle is insulated you can even carry hot liquids in them, depending on the lid. A sports cap is usually only suited to cold drinks, but most screw lids are fine for hot drinks.

Is it safe to drink from a stainless steel bottle?

Yes. We only sell water bottles made from food grade stainless steel. A small number of people can taste a metallic taste in the water from a stainless steel bottle. It's rare and caused by a sensitivity to the taste of nickel which is naturally found in stainless steel. This issue is more likely to be found in cheap brands who don't polish the inside of the bottles properly in the manufacturing process. This is one reason we only stock quality brands with lasting durability and a premium finish. You can stay regularly hydrated for years with the same bottle. Just replace your sports cap or straw lid from time to time and ensure you keep the bottle clean.
