Before Giovanni launched a dedicated Curl Habit range to look after curly hair, they still had a great selection of products that were curly girl approved. A lot more care and attention needs to happen around styling curly hair. It starts before the typical styling product and ends with another step aftewards for the best results.

Learning to tame curly hair isn't easy and when making the switch to natural hair products, it's not always obvious which products will be best for you. Curly hair needs more nourishment because often it's dry. You can condition your hair and apply a hair mask to your hair weekly, but for many with curly hair, a leave in conditioner is a part of your every day routine.

CURLY GIRL STYLING GUIDE TIP #2 - HOLD CURLY HAIR IN PLACE WITH NATURAL STYLING PRODUCTS

Define and hold your curls in place with Giovanni's LA Hold Styling Gel. This strong hold gel provides hold and shine. As a guide, use only as much as you need to provide the hold you're after to define your curls. Too much and you will run the risk of weighing them down. While you can also get shine from this product, there's one more product you'll want to add to your curl girl natural hair styling kit for that purpose.

Once your conditioned and defined, use a natural anti frizz serum.
