Kindly Deodorant were one of the first natural deodorant brands to do something a little different. It seems that every month there's a new natural deodorant on the market. When we first started Shop Naturally way back in 2009, Fresca Naturals were pioneers in this country. It was one of the first award winning natural deodorant roll-ons and we still stock it to this day. Our store owner still uses the unscented Fresca deodorant after 15 years in the business.

Then Black Chicken Remedies came along and started the natural deodorant paste cult following in Australia that was originally started by Schmidts in the USA (which is now owned by Unilever and they don't make the pastes in the tins anymore).

Many natural deodorant brands have copied and been inspired by both of these, but KINDYLY stepped outside the square a little with something added in to the deodorant for extra protection. Here's some facts about KINDLY deodorant.

KINDLY DEODORANT is 100% natural

There's nothing new about this, everything we stock is 100% natural, but there's still plenty of greenwashing going on where people really need to do their own research. We no longer stock KINDLY, it has become a discount chemist brand, but we can confirm it is natural. It just sits on the shelf next to aluminium antiperspirants at the chemist so you have to do your research.

KINDLY DEODORANT is Certified Cruelty Free

Kindly natural deodorant is certified cruelty free through PETA. We don't allow animal testing on anything in our store, but some brands do take that extra step for the certification.

KINDLY DEODORANT is vegan

Any deodorant that's not vegan will contain beeswax, and in the beginning it was a very popular ingredient in deodorant pastes. Beeswax has some amazing properties making it an ideal choice but it's rarely, if ever, used in a roll-on deodorant. Kindly is one of many vegan deodorant brands in our store.

KINDLY DEODORANT only uses pure essential oils

This is a given in our store, all our deodorants are scented with natural ingredients. When you step outside our store though, many products use artificial scents because they are cheap and they last longer. Whether it's an essential oil or something artificial, this isn't what stops you from smelling, it's just a bit of a mask. You'll find out what the odour stopping ingredients are in Kindly a couple of headings down from here. An antiperspirant will use aluminium to stop you sweating. Natural deodorant just uses natural ingredients to stop bacteria growing in the sweat. We NEED to sweat.

KINDLY DEODORANT uses Bi-Carb Soda and Magnesium Hydroxide for odour control

Many brands use one of the other. Those that use both offer greater protection. A magnesium oil roll-on can be swapped out for a deodorant in a pinch, which is why it's such an effective swap. Straight magnesium on your pits will cause them to be warm and tingly if you're deficient, so be mindful of that. In the quantity that it's in any deodorant formula, that won't happen.

What makes KINDLY DEODORANT different is their use of probiotics

Now that I see it in action, I  don't know why it wasn't done earlier. It's a brilliant idea. The thing that makes you smell funky isn't your 'sweat' as such, it's the bacteria that forms after a period of time. Just like in the gut, there's good bacteria and bad bacteria. Probiotics are good bacteria. When they are added to a natural deodorant formula, the probiotics will take over the bad bacteria and help the other active ingredients in the deodorant negate odour.

The powerful combination of essential oils, bi-carb, magnesium and probiotics make this a very hard working deodorant and worth a look.
