There are many products in the doTERRA range that are available for personal use and purchase directly from doTERRA and then there's a set of products that are legally allowed to be sold by retail, the doTERRA Australia range of essential oils. This week we have added a new oil to the range from this doTERRA Australia range, Copaiba essential oil.

Copaiba has similar uses and properties to black pepper essential oil and text books and the internet are filled with information about its therapeutic properties. As a retailer, it's not appropriate or legal for us to list them here. There are many reputable text books and websites for this information.

The Copaiba essential oil is extracted from the resin on the Copaiba tree, found in tropical South America, which can grow more than 100 feet tall. As well as health benefits, it can  be a common ingredient in organic and natural skin care products, and has been used in the new range from Sativa Skin Care.  Their Rejuvenate Anti-Aging Serum uses copaiba essential oil as the second ingredient after Aloe Vera. In combination with other essential oils, hemp seed oil and active botanicals from Australia and the Amazon, this serum has been formulated to be used after a cleanser and before your moisturiser.

Copaiba is also the second ingredients in their Nourish Hand Cream, and both products combined can also be used to address blemishes on the face and body, in part, to the inclusion of Copaiba Oil in the formulas. A smaller amount is also found in their Replenish Hemp Face Moisturiser, deodorant and even the Hand & Body Wash. Sativa Skin Care is the only range in our store to use this Amazonian essential oil.

Tisserand Institute have some interesting information about Copaiba making your skin happy. It contains large amounts of beta-caryophyllene, which is a molecule that interacts with cannabinoid receptors in the skin, helping it to produce beta-endorphin, the 'happy hormone'. Black Pepper essential oil, which we mentioned above, can do the same thing.
