Ere Perez Corn Setting Powder now in plastic free packaging

Ere Perez Corn Setting Powder was previously called Corn Translucent Powder and was in plastic packaging with the mirror (left in photograph above). Australian natural makeup brand Ere Perez have created a positive change for their pressed powders with a world first in eco makeup packaging so we thought we'd take you through how the packaging works. The following photographs were taken by us in our own photo studio.

What is the Ere Perez Makeup Wheel made from?

Ere Perez have created the makeup wheel in 3 parts. It's all made from 100% aluminium and nothing else. No mirrors, no glue, no hinges, no plastic. The base (left), the ring that screws on to the base (middle) that holds the pressed powder in place and the lid (right).

Take the pressed powder and place it on the base (see below).

Take the ring and screw it on to the base to hold the pressed powder in to place and you get what you see below. Now you have the pressed powder safely held in to place and the lid ready to put on.

Is there a mirror on the Makeup Wheel?

No. The beauty of the 100% aluminium is that it's reflective. Right about now I'm kicking myself that all the photographs I took that had me or the camera in the reflection got deleted! It took a LOT of work and positioning to only get the reflection of the white roof in our photo studio in these photos.

Do I get the flat powder puff to apply the setting powder?

No. The powder is more effectively applied with a foundation brush and it's better for the environment not to be shipping around application pads that have some plastic in them that not many people use.

On launch in 2023, this is not just a packaging change, it's a new formula. Here's what we love about the new formula:-

Yes, you can fill it with whatever you like from the Ere Perez Pressed Powder range. This packaging wasn't just made for the Ere Perez Corn Setting Powder. As they convert more of their range, all the pressed powders will come like this. We will be stocking the refill at a later date. If you need to refill before you see it on our website, please just ask.

Not available in our store yet, but direct, Ere Perez have also converted the Rice Powder Bronzer and the Rice Powder Blush & Bronzer.
