About the Camelbak Eddy + Water Bottle
The Camelbak Eddy+ Water Bottle shares the bite valve mouthpiece used on the Camelbak hydration packs which were the original core range that Camelbak sold. It offers hands free hydration when you drink water directly from Camelbak drink bottles and for this reason, they have been favoured by the disabled community for years.
The way the bite valve works means it's in the open position, you can tip the bottle over and you might only get a couple of drops out. You can have it sitting on the table in front of you, lean in, bite down on the valve, drink and let go with ease. If you accidentally knock it over, it won't empty all over the table.
It's this feature that makes it the perfect lid for the Camelbak Eddy+ Kids range too. Picture your kids in the backseat of a car on a road trip and dropping the bottle with the lid open and water going everywhere. With the Camelbak hydration pack bite valve on a Camelbak drink bottle, you get spillproof hydration on the go.
The Camelbak Eddy+ Kids and the adult Camelbak Eddy+ both use a bite valve, but they are a different valve. The kids valve feeds up through underneath the lid so they can't pull it off with their teeth and accidentally swallow it.
Eddy+ bottles are available in 400ml, 750ml and 1 litre and you can put a Camelbak Chute Mag lid on the bottle. The thread sizes on the Eddy+, Eddy+ Kids and the Chute Mag are all the same size.
About the Camelbak Chute Mag Water Bottle
The Camelbak Chute Mag is all about the leak proof design. For those who don't need or want a bite valve to get water out of a bottle, the Chute Mag is a simple screw lid that has the perfect drinking spout to drink from. The new Mag lid keeps the lid on the bottle held in place, away from your nose, while you drink. Earlier incarnations of the Chute lid were a little fiddly to get the lid out of the way while drinking. The Chute Mag bottle comes in 750ml, 1 litre and 1.5 litre in our store.
About Camelbak Spare Parts
Any quality water bottle company has spare parts available. Interchangeable lids are even better, and Camelbak bottles have both.
Eddy+, Eddy+ Kids and Chute Mag all share the same thread and are interchangeable. It's still the same thread back in the day when the Eddy+ bottle used to be called the Better Bottle. Please note that podium sports series of hydration bottles have a different thread system.
Bite valves for the Eddy bottles are a consumable product and should be replaced as soon as they start showing wear and tear or if they can't easily be cleaned.
