Insulated Lunch Bag & Cooler Bags for Kids and Adults
For those carrying their lunch box to work, school or while travelling, it's important to keep the food inside safe until you're ready to eat it. To do this, you will need an insulated lunch bag and an ice pack.
Lunch bags come in a variety of different shapes and sizes to suit any occasion or lunch box size. We have bags made from natural materials like organic cotton through to an eco friendly lunch bag made from rPET which is recycled water bottles. Our range includes plain and stylish designs for adults and fun designs for kids.
Will my lunch box fit inside my lunch bag?
Through the whole store, every lunch box has its external dimensions listed and all our insulated lunch bags have their sizes listed. This makes it easy for you to see what fits inside. Kids rarely just take a lunch box to school, so check to see if there's room for fruit, cutlery, snacks, a snack pot and even a set of travel cutlery.
What's the biggest insulated lunch bag you have?
The roomiest bag we have is the navy organic cotton lunch bag from The Happy Sparrow. It takes The Happy Sparrow Bento Five with plenty of room to add fruit, snacks, snack pots, a second lunch box, a drink bottle and cutlery. The Green Essentials laptop style bag is made from rPET, recycled water bottles, and has an inner lining that can be removed for easier cleaning. It's simple design and plain colour makes it suitable for adults or kids.
How do insulated lunch bags keep food cool?
An insulated lunch bag is usually padded and may also have a silver lining. In the same way you feel warmer with a jumper on, the padding provides some protection, as does the silver lining. Have you ever seen some get rescued from the bush and the rescuers wrap them in a thin silver sheet? It's a similar philosophy, but a lunch bag won't provide very much insulation on its own. You will need to add an ice pack. The best ice packs will have a cover on them to stop them from sweating and leaving moisture inside your lunch bag. With a decent lunch bag and ice pack, you can keep your food inside cool for most of the day. Add a second ice pack for a longer insulation period.
