What's the best way to wash out the styling products

Depending on the product, some of these natural styling products will wash out with a rinse with water. Others will require the use of a natural shampoo, and periodically, a clarifying shampoo depending on how frequently you use the hair gels, waxes and pomades mentioned in this post.

• WICKED TEXTURE: Rinses out easily with water.
• STYLING GLUE: Apply conditioner to dry hair, massage in to break the product down, then shampoo to remove residue. With regular use, use a clarifying shampoo once a week to avoid build up.
• CURL SHAPING HAIR GEL: Rinses out easily with water.
• LA HOLD STYLING GEL: Shampoo and condition.
• CURL DEFINING HAIR STYLING CREAM: Rinses out with warm water. Mild shampoo may be necessary depending on frequency of use.

With any regular product use, or even with excessive exercise or conditions where your hair can get overly dirty of greasy, use a clarifying shampoo once every 1-2 weeks. Do not use them daily or they will dry your hair out.

If you have curly hair, consider a co-wash on days you're not using heavy product. This keeps your hair and your curls moisturised and better defined. Overly clean curly hair gets frizzy and curls lose their definition.

For the best in scalp care, massage your scalp while shampooing and once every 1-2 weeks, massage in a skin loving oil like jojoba oil or batana oil, leave on for 45 mins up to overnight if you can and then shampoo out.
