Shipping
We ship parcels to any home address, business address, PO Box or Parcel Locker in Australia. We have a fast dispatch process and most of our orders leave within 24 hours of being placed, but they can take up to 72 hours in peak periods. Express Post parcels are given priority and leave within 24 hours. We sell a lot of heavy, low cost items. The only way we can afford to do this is to pass on the freight on certain orders. Remote locations are charged at a higher rate and the postcodes covered by remote locations are listed underneath the charges below. We have a 10kg limit on all orders. If purchasing a lot of cleaning products, please place multiple orders that are under our 10kg limit. Freight is charged on each individual order. Parcels are shipped either with Australia Post or Aramex (at our discretion) and including tracking and insurance. If you choose Authority To Leave, your insurance coverage ends once the item is scanned as delivered. Please choose carefully.
Shipping FAQ
Who delivers my parcel?
You choose the carrier at the checkout, either Australia Post Regular, Express or Aramex. We don’t deviate from your choice unless you choose Aramex and they are unable to handle your parcel. If you choose Australia Post, that’s who we send your parcel with.
Aramex is quite often the cheaper service, but we understand some customers have had a poor experience with a unit block delivery or other issue which is why we allow you to choose the carrier at the checkout. While Australia Post delivers to any address in Australia, Aramex does have some restrictions.
ARAMEX IS STRICTLY NO UNITS, PO BOXES or PARCEL LOCKERS. Please abide by this to avoid any delays in processing your order.
Do I have to be home with my delivery arrives?
If you choose to sign for your parcel, yes. If you choose Authority to Leave, no. It will be left in a safe place. Please note our insurance ends when the parcel is left at your address.
How quickly will my order leave your warehouse?
Most orders leave the business day after you place your order. Occasionally it may take 2 days. Express Shipping orders always get priority dispatch. We pick and pack all our orders ourselves in a warehouse that we run.
Are all my items in stock?
A large amount of what we sell is marked as IN STOCK 1-3 DAYS or IN STOCK 4-7 DAYS. It allows us to offer a significantly larger range and ensures you get fresh stock from our suppliers each time you order with us. We occasionally experience short delays with deliveries that are out of our control due to special sales events, weather events, public holidays or courier delays. For items marked as SPECIAL ORDER, please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for dispatch.
How long will my parcel take to arrive?
Once your parcel leaves our warehouse, delivery times are dictated by the shipping carriers. Express Post next day delivery guarantees are no longer applicable with Australia Post.
Is my parcel insured?
Yes. Your parcel is insured for damage during transit or if it's lost. Please report damages within 48 hours of receiving your parcel.
How do I get my tracking number?
We email it you to as your parcel leaves. Registered customers can also log on and get it from their order details.
How do you calculate the weight of my parcel?
Each item has a weight estimate assigned. We take in to consideration the actual weight (dead weight), the size (cubic weight) and the products packaging. Large items that are light are calculated on their cubic weight.
A 5kg cleaning product once packed, including its own bottle or bucket, weighs around 6.5kg.
Why do you charge more for remote locations?
We ship a lot of hard to find, heavy and low cost items around the country. The cost to remote locations is more expensive than metro areas. The only way we can afford to keep selling them is to pass on the costs.
What do you use to pack my parcel with?
We are as eco-friendly as possible when packing your parcel. We rarely buy new boxes for packing. When we do, they’re plain brown boxes. We gather boxes to re-use from local businesses, so your order may arrive in a rescued wine box or something from a supplier. All the packing materials we receive from suppliers are re-used and we rescue old newspapers to give them one more journey before they are recycled.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are passed on at the price we pay for them to keep the prices as low as possible. You can find out what these charges are on our CART page or at the CHECKOUT using our shipping calculator. The dollar amount, weight and location of your delivery all have a bearing on the calculations.
Shipping charges are now cheaper for 95% of our customers because we charge this way.
Most parcels under 1kg are shipped for under $10, and some under $8.
We don’t show a chart of the rates because Australia Post changes their fuel surcharge every month and the chart is huge! Just populate your cart, put in your postcode and you’ll see the options, at cost.
Free Shipping
Free Shipping is available for orders over $200, up to 3kg (excluding Rural Locations).
Weight Limi
We have a weight limit of 10kg per order. If you are ordering a lot of cleaning products, you may need to place multiple orders. Our 8L, 8kg, 15L and 15kg bulk deals from Abode are drop shipped from their warehouse and need to be the only thing on your order.
Do I have to sign for my parcel?
All our parcels are sent out with an Authority To Leave. At their discretion, the couriers will take your parcel back to a collection point (Aramex) or post office (Australia Post) if the driver thinks it’s unsafe.
How quickly will my order leave your warehouse?
Allow up to 3 business days for your order to be dispatched once we have the item in stock, however it’s usually quicker than that. Express Post parcels have priority dispatch and leave within 1 business day once the items are in our warehouse.
More information about our shipping charges
Our shipping charges are predominantly a ‘user pays’ system and are passed on at cost price. It makes the freight costs cheaper for 95% of our customers compared to the old way we used to charge (prior to Sept 2025).
We do understand and apologise for the cost of shipping heavier orders to rural locations in Australia. Freight costs have increased significantly and it is no longer a viable option for us to subsidise these charges or offer free shipping to these rural locations.
If you have allergies to newspaper, please let us know when you place your order so we can ensure we don’t use it to pack your parcel.
On rare occasions, we may use a small amount of bubble wrap or a plastic bag to protect something in your order. We don't ever buy it in new. We recycle bags and bubbles from suppliers, you can put them with your RedCycle soft plastic for recycling at the supermarket.
