An ultrasonic vaporiser is a safer and more cost effective method of diffusing essential oils than a ceramic diffuser with a candle underneath. The candles are always a fire hazard and can’t be left unsupervised and they also heat up the oils to release the aroma. If you’re using the oils for their therapeutic benefits, you will lose some of their potency with the heat.

Your ultrasonic vaporiser uses vibrations to vaporise the water to release the essential oils and this is done at a cold temperature, not a hot one. In small rooms, they can also be used to replace a humidifier, which puts moisture in to the air. A traditional humidifier uses heat and leaves walls, curtains and furnishings damp which can lead to mould growth with repeated use and they are noisy. A vaporiser is a much quieter alternative.
