Geranium Essential Oil & Essential Oil Blends

This floral essential oil has a powerful aroma, with heavy floral notes. It is usually steam distilled from the leaves and branches of the plant, not the flower petals. It is often used to support hormonal cycles in women, including menstrual cycles and menopause and is found in the Clary Calm blend from doTERRA along with Clary Sage.

Geranium blends well with many oils including citrus essential oils, florals, woody oils and mint oils too. Until you get used to the aroma, use is sparingly and balance out with other oils. It can be an overstimulating oil when used in excess, so be mindful of how frequently you use geranium. It’s a common ingredient in soaps and body washes.
