Frankincense Essential Oil & Essential Oil Blends

This is one of our favourite essential oils. It has a warm and earthy, woody aroma yet it’s also a little sweet and citrusy. Of all the essential oils, it’s the one that people with sensitivities tolerate the most. It is distilled from the resin of the frankincense tree. The resin is often used as incense, but the oil usually smells sweeter when diffused.

It is often used as a perfume, in rituals as it’s emotionally grounding and relaxing. Frankincense was one of the gifts from the wise men in the bible and is often used in churches as incense.
