We understand they won't suit everyone's ingredient preferences, but they offer an option for customers who want more perspiration control than a natural deodorant provides.

Gem Toothpaste – Fluoride or Fluoride-Free?

Gem's Triple Whitening Toothpaste range brings some fun to everyday brushing with flavours that go beyond traditional mint. But before choosing your favourite flavour, the most important decision is whether you prefer a fluoride or fluoride-free formula.

Gem's fluoride toothpaste contains sodium monofluorophosphate, a fluoride ingredient used to help protect teeth against decay and support remineralisation. Its fluoride-free Triple Whitening formulation uses hydroxyapatite, a mineral ingredient also found naturally in tooth enamel. Both options contain cleaning and polishing ingredients, including silica and sodium bicarbonate, which help remove everyday surface staining during brushing.

Fluoride toothpaste remains a well-established choice for preventing tooth decay, while Gem's hydroxyapatite formulation offers an alternative for customers who specifically prefer to avoid fluoride. Neither should be chosen simply because it's described as more natural. Gem Teeth Whitening Products

Gem's Skin-Loving and Sport-Loving roll-ons are different. They are antiperspirants containing aluminium-based active ingredients, formulated to reduce perspiration as well as manage odour.

These are the only antiperspirants we stock, and we want customers to understand exactly what they're choosing. We know that aluminium-based antiperspirants won't be everyone's preference, particularly if you've deliberately moved to natural deodorants. However, we also know that some people find natural deodorants don't provide the level of protection they're looking for, especially when perspiration control is important to them.

Gem's Skin-Loving formula takes a more skin-care-focused approach to the traditional roll-on antiperspirant, incorporating conditioning ingredients such as vitamin E, shea butter and hyaluronic acid. These ingredients are included to help care for and moisturise underarm skin, while the aluminium-based antiperspirant ingredient performs the sweat-reducing function. Check the individual product ingredients, as formulations may differ across the range.

We believe customers should have enough information to make their own decisions. Gem Whole Body Deodorant

Gem's Whole Body Deodorant is a different product from its roll-on antiperspirants. It's designed to manage body odour rather than reduce sweating and doesn't rely on aluminium-based antiperspirant ingredients for that purpose.

If you're comparing Gem's underarm products, pay attention to whether the packaging says deodorant or antiperspirant. The distinction is more important than fragrance or packaging when deciding which product suits your needs. Always check the directions for where a whole-body product can be applied, particularly around sensitive areas.

Gem Body Care and Fragrance
