Ere Perez is an Australian owned natural beauty brand. They are best known for their cult favourite natural mascara, Natural Almond Oil Mascara, which is now available in Black, Brown and Purple. The range is significantly more extensive than that, with their Oat Milk Foundation, arnica concealer, multi-tasking colour pots, eye pencils, lip crayons, blush, highlighters and skin care range.
What's in the Ere Perez range in 2024?
We have seen some big changes in the Ere Perez makeup range in the last couple of years, mainly centred around packaging. Many of the compacts are now in a 100% aluminium metal pinwheel case which does away with the need for any plastic components or mirrors and they are refillable. The popular corn setting powder was the first product changed. All the powder compacts are changing if they haven't already.
The traditional wind up lipsticks are no longer in the range and are replaced by the coco crayon. It's a thick stumpy pencil that gives buildable full colour like a lipstick without all the plastic. They can be used on the lips and cheeks.
The eyeshadow palettes in the Ere Perez range are no longer made. If you own one, they are refillable and a very limited number of colours are available direct.
Is the Ere Perez range vegan?
The Almond Oil Mascara from Ere Perez contains beeswax. Everything else in the range is vegan friendly.
Is the Ere Perez range cruelty free?
The full range is certified cruelty free both by PETA and Choose Cruelty Free Australia. This is not only an important part of our store, but also the philosophy behind Ere Perez. None of the final products are tested on animals, nor are the individual ingredients used to make the products.
Is the Ere Perez range gluten free?
Yes, however the Oat Milk Foundation can't be guaranteed because while oats are gluten free, they are very easily contaminated and are rarely classified as GF.
About the founder of Ere Perez
Named after the founder herself, Ere Perez, Ere emigrated to Australia from Mexico with a dream to create her own beauty line, which has done. In 2002, the brand started with the Almond Oil Mascara which is still a core part of the range today. Her grandfather was a traditional medicine man and her mother delved into home remedies and beauty recipes, so it's no surprise that when Ere created her range, she chose natural, and Ere Perez was one of the first clean beauty brands in Australia before anyone had ever heard the term.
