Our store owner, Joanne, is particularly sensitive to the taste of nickel in stainless steel bottles, so she personally chooses ceramic-lined bottles. Even without that sensitivity, some people notice a difference in the taste of water from unlined stainless steel. Ceramic lining is becoming increasingly popular for exactly this reason. "This is one product that I gave a serious road test before stocking it. To be honest, the dual drinking spout sounded too good to be true, so I didn't want to sell this one until I had used it myself.
The lid has a locking mechanism on it so you can't accidentally open it. Once unlocked, twist clockwise for the straw, twist 180 degrees anticlockwise for the pour spout, and if you keep twisting anticlockwise, the mouthpiece comes off for cleaning. Underneath, there's a silicone piece holding the straw that can also be removed for cleaning.
What really surprised me was how easy the straw setting was to drink from. Some straw bottles require a bit of effort to get the water moving. This one doesn't.
As you would imagine, I have quite the collection of water bottles. The Oasis Capri has been my favourite to date. The Verso gives you straw drinking through a mouthpiece that doesn't feel like a straw. I remember trying multiple times to get used to drinking through a silicone bite valve, and it just wasn't for me. This is so much easier.

Fill the Oasis Verso with your favourite cold drink and securely attach the lid. Unlock the lid using the locking mechanism, then twist the top clockwise to open the straw spout for easy sipping. Twist 180 degrees anticlockwise to open the pour spout when you prefer a generous flow of water.
For cleaning, continue twisting anticlockwise to remove the mouthpiece. Underneath, you'll find a removable silicone component that holds the straw in place. Remove this and the straw to thoroughly wash all the parts with warm, soapy water. Rinse well and allow everything to dry before reassembling.
Handwashing is recommended for the bottle and lid. The Oasis Verso is designed for cold, still drinks only. It is not suitable for hot drinks or carbonated beverages, as hot liquids may cause burns and carbonation can create pressure inside the bottle.
