Time for some honest to goodness straight talk here. I love my SLS laden shampoo. I love the way it makes my hair feel, and every time I tested an SLS free shampoo, my hair felt different, dry, lifeless and after one wash, I gave up.

A couple of weeks ago, when I new I was going to be sitting around the house doing nothing, I made a promise – ONE WHOLE WEEK OF ALCHEMY SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER, no matter what my hair felt like.

DAY 1
My hair was a little dull and dry, not it’s normal shiny and soft self. Not impressed.

DAY 2
Still a little dry and lifeless, still not terribly happy.

DAYS 3-7
Each day, my hair got shinier, felt nicer to the touch, and while my fine hair didn’t have quite as much body, that annoying wave I get in my hair, you know, when your hair isn’t quite straight but not quite curly either, it had gone.

CONCLUSION
You really need to give the SLS free shampoo & conditioner a few days to wash away all the gunk and crap your old shampoo & conditioner left behind. In summer, I’m going to love this combination because that annoying kink I get in my hair from the humiditiy won’t happen, but for winter, I think I might experiment with the Jojoba Light Conditioner next.
