One of the easiest things you can do for your health is to drink plenty of water. Depending on which articles you read, somewhere between 2 and 3 litres of water a day is a good guide.
When you’re out and about, buying bottled water is sometimes a necessary evil, but did you know that it takes approx. 10 times as much water to actually make the bottle as you can fit inside it. That means, that it takes a whopping 10 litres of water to make a plastic 1 litre bottle, which you then drink, throw away and put in landfill.
Whether you believe or care whether squishy plastic bottles leach toxins in to the water that your liver can’t filter out and can affect your hormones, you should be horrified that 10 litres of water were wasted to make your 1 litre plastic bottle.
Whenever you can, take bottled water with you. Don’t re-use the squishy ‘Mount Franklin’ or ‘Pump’ water bottles, they leach BPA in to the water and cause you a whole host of health issues, especially if you’re like most of us and you leave them in a hot car.
Check out our range of BPA free plastic and stainless steel bottles, water jugs and water filters to ensure your water not only tastes good, but is good for you too.
(Note: we are still in the process of stocking this section of our online shop. Once fully stocked, we will have the entire range of Brita filters and water jugs, and the BPA free Poly Carbonate range of water bottles from Lock & Lock)
