plastic free products

Plastic Free July should last all year round. To help you make an informed choice on reducing the impact of both single use plastic and all plastic in your every day life, we are hand selecting products from our range that fall in to the following categories. Each category reduces the need for single use plastic significantly. Some reduce plastic use completely. We believe it is the most comprehensively researched and easy to use plastic free shopping guide in Australia. We have drilled right down to literally 100% plastic free vs almost plastic free vs plastic free packaging. Click through to each sub-category to read the definition and start shopping.

A note on our own packing materials: As of February 2017, we stopped buying in ALL virgin plastic packaging. We are using the last of what we have. Padded bubble bags are being replaced with jiffy bags. Plastic satchels are gone for good. We do still get plastic bags and wrap from suppliers (we are influencing as many as we can to stop doing this) and we do re-use them only when it's appropriate. If you purchase food or food wraps and natural cleaning products in the same order (especially soap nuts), we will always protect your food from potential odour cross contamination with a recycled bag. Instructions on where to recycle them will be provided on your picking slip. Most of our orders are sent out in recycled wine boxes or supplier boxes and packed with newspaper collected by local senior communities for us.
